Among the great days in my life over this year, that Sunday was totally the greatest and the best!! All the expectations, hopes and dreams finally came true! I would never ever forget the day. What was that? What happened?
I.Finally.Met.TaylorHicks.In.Person.And.Gave.Him.My.TaylorHicks.Figurine!! WHOOO...HOOO...!!!

Ok, here's the story. I'll try to make it short.
About 10 days ago, I got SMS from my friend who told me that Taylor would be the special guest star in Asian Idol result show that held in Jakarta. I didn't buy it at first. Was that for real? But then came the same SMS about itf rom my other friends who know that I like Taylor. 'Hey, Taylor will appear in the Asian Idol result show! Don't you wanna see him?', 'Taylor Hicks will come to Indonesia. Don't you wanna go to the show?' ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) odayski sent me the same SMS too. I was like, wow, it seemed true. So, I asked my friend, Wintha, who's close to the people who had access to the show to get me the ticket. She said she would help. Good!
Then, I planned something for it. I would give him Taylor Hicks figurine I had asked my friend, Oscar, a year ago. (if you want to see Oscar's other works, just click here) Gosh, if it was finally really handed to Taylor, my happiness would be so hard to tell in words.. Because, I made that fig actually for the man himself. So my mission was met Taylor and handed the fig to him in person, then asked him to take picture with him holding the fig (and me beside him.. of course... *big grins*).
Frankly I said, I didn't feel to much eager about this. The thought of how if I missed this one in a life time chance bothered me a lot. Beside, I had a lot of stuffs to think too.. So I let it go with the flow. Well, still put a little hope that I could meet Taylor though..
Finally got good news on D-1. Wintha got the ticket for 4 persons! Great! What a relieve news.. I told odayski and my other friend, Santi, to come with me. They were excited.
The next day, I was complete in preparation. In the morning, odayski told me that she found out the hotel where Taylor stayed. Man, I'd like to come with her but I still had to spent my time with my family before I went to the show at night. So, I just phoned her to hear her story. She told me that she met Taylor's GF and she wanted to kill her *LOL*. Well, she had a chance to meet Taylor in the hotel and took picture with him..
At 7 PM, I called Wintha what time we would go to the venue. She said we'd go at 7.30. I worried a bit because odayski was already there and she said that the queue was long. Santi, along with Hadi, were there early too and report me the same. (Btw, odayski told me finally she got VVIP ticket. That meant 1 free ticket left and I gave it to Hadi, who was actually came to the show by luck). But, Wintha calmed me down. She was sure that we wouldn't miss the whole show. Beside, she knew that I wanted to see only Taylor... hehehehehehe...
We arrived at 9 PM and I saw the queue was still long. Man, I didn't like to be on that long queue. I wished we didn't have to do that. And Wintha guaranteed that. So me, Wintha, Santi and Hadi came in from the other door which shouldn't have to queue.. That was lucky #1 for the night.
Inside the studio, it was crowded. Too much crowded. That was the disadvantage of not come in early. According to the ticket, we supposed to get seat, but the fact was, zero. All the seats were occupied. But Hadi was eager to find seats because he saw empty seats in the middle. So we tried to break the crowd and we did. We got good spot and good seat. Near the judges.. Perfect. And I could see Taylor very clear.
To be honest, I didn't follow the whole show. I was busy with SMS from my other friends. And it stopped for awhile until Taylor showed up on stage and sang Heaven Knows. He dressed in white shirt, black jacket and jeans. And, he was damn sexy doing all the moves. The “old” Taylor moves didn't change.. Spining and jumping around, leaning, woo-ing and he played his favourite harmonica as always.. I felt lucky.. (lucky #2).

After he sang the 1st song, the 2 MC greeted him and asked him to show his play with his harmonica again while the MCs dancing around stupidly..
  
After that, Taylor sang Do I Make You Proud? together with the 6 finalists. Then the result of the winner came out (the winner was from Singapore. Too bad, I actually wished Mike Mohede, the Indonesian finalist would be the winner..) and the show was over.
Well, actually, the show wasn't over yet. It was over for the broadcast, but not over for the audience in the studio. Taylor gave his last performance by singing Taking It To The Street. He dressed in black shirt and (still with) jeans. My.. I was so blessed that I could see Taylor performed live on stage. The performance was great and he danced so fun as he always did.. He played his favorite harmonica so cool and he was jumping like a kid! So cute... That was The dance was so fun (as he usually does). He really did enjoy it. Gosh, I couldn't believe my eyes that I really saw him on stage not from tv! I was so excited..!!
And the excitement didn't over yet. I still had a mission that had to be done. I was told by Wintha's friend (one of the crew) that Taylor would have the press conference after the show (11.30 PM). And he suggested to come to the press con if I wanted to meet Taylor. Then me and my friends came to the press con. I saw the press con with Taylor was over, but Taylor was still inside the room. I tried to call odayski to come over so she could meet Taylor again, but it didn't work out. She got lost somewhere, and I was in the middle of giving the fig to Taylor. Then I got panic. When I got panic, my mind went blank. I couldn't think clearly. Hadi, Santi and Wintha were calming me down and encourage me to go over Taylor. So, I came to Taylor who was walking out of the room (with his girlfriend) and I started the (short) conversation:
Me: Hi, Taylor..
Taylor: I'm sorry, I can't take picture now.. (he seemed in a hurry and his face looked tired and the tone sounded unfriendly).
Me: No, no, no... I just want to give you this. (I handed the green box to Taylor) I know you would like it..
Taylor (froze): Oh.. (He came over me to get the box and looked curious)
Me: Well, you may open it now to see what's inside... Here, let me help you..
Then we both unwrapped the box. And I noticed his expression when he saw what's inside the box. He stunned. I barely heard he said, 'Wow...' and suddenly he smiled widely (all the 'unfriendly' face gone), holding and examining the fig. I smiled too, feeling so happy that he liked it.. His girlfriend was smiling too when she saw it. Well, everybody who witnessed it were amazed...

Taylor: Awesome..!!
Me: Yeah...! See? I knew you would like it.. *big grins*
And I quickly stood beside him and Hadi took picture of us with Taylor held the fig (of course!). Hahaha.. He said he couldn't take picture with me in the first place but I did make him amazed with what I gave him so we COULD take picture... *feels in triumph*. Oh, there was funny thing while we were taking picture. Hadi didn't use flash, so Taylor looked confused and whispered to me,
Taylor: Did he get that? (Still smiling, looking at the camera, oh.. so sweet...)
Me: Yeah, he didn't use flash, but he got that...
Taylor: Well, okay.. Thanks a lot! (Taylor shook my hand)
Me: Yeah.. Pleasure to meet you..
Taylor: Soul Patrol!
Me: Soul Patrol..!

And Taylor hurried to the car with the GF (she said Thank you to me with sweet smile) and it was my turn who was amazed for what had just happened. I saw Taylor got inside the car and the car was gone then I yelled, Mission Accomplished!!!! and gave Wintha, Santi and Hadi a really big hug... odayski finally came up (after Taylor's gone, too bad, lass...) and we hug each other too. We were so happy and feeling extremely in fully, deeply joy..!!
Oh, my... I still couldn't believe myself that I finally met Taylor in person, took picture with him and, the most amazing part was, to give my Taylor figurine that Oscar made it for me last year!! That was bloody fantastic and crazy! I was having a blast!! That was really one of the best moment I had in my entire life! Priceless moment indeed... Unforgettable! I felt that every drinks I drank that day were poured with Felix Felicis, that was way I felt the luckiest person that night... If Taylor did really have a bad mood, at least the fig could calm him down and the trip to Indonesia left one of the great memory. He finally found out that there are true Soul Patroller from Indonesia... Me and odayski, hehehehe.. *feels proud* And one other thing...
He is absolutelyfuckingseriously TALL & HANDSOME!!! *faints*
I hope Taylor treats the fig fine. And I do hope that Anne & Oscar wouldn't mind at all that I gave the Taylor figurine to the man himself. I think they feel honoured and also proud of it. And I did really thank God for making it all easy and thanks to Wintha, Santi, odayski, & Hadi for being there, sharing the happiness together also the supports..
I would never forget this moment... Never!! That was totally the best day ever!!

Next Mission: ALAN RICKMAN. Hmm... is it possible? Can I try my luck again this one? Who knows...
